Façade scanning in 1 day
Ergo-Design supports 2D/3D digitizing of Factories, Process Installations and Architectural Buildings with 3D-laserscanning. An example of this strong growing activity is the pre-war building on the Bloemsingel in the city of Groningen. The handmade façade drawings are incomplete and outdated. The building owner, the 'University Medical Center' (UMCG), wants to actualize and digitize the current drawings based on the current condition. Facility management and future renovations will benefit from this update.

As an external facilitator for UMCG Facility Management department, Dion B.V. has won the assignment to update and digitize the old drawings. Ergo-Design has been asked to support this process by measuring the actual situation. With our 3D laser scanner we captured all 8 façades of this vast building in just one day. Next step was creating a scan model (pointcloud) per façade which forms an underlayer for the accurate digitization process. All information is now 'up to date' and forms a solid base for future developments. 'Dion is very satisfied with the project and its results.
